World Earth Day

Aurobindo International School (AIS) marked the World Earth Day with activities widespread to invoke respect, concern and action to conserve the natural resources. The day started with majestic morning assembly themed on Earth Day, followed by activities like poster and slogan creation along with cultural programs of dancing by students of grade VI, VII & VIII. Students through the poetical recitation expressed their loving concern for the greener earth. Moving with the vision of making earth a better planet for all the species, Grade I to V participated in campus plantation drive and Grade IX to XII in placing bird feeder activity to show their love and concern for the bird, a very valuable part of our eco system. Students at every level showed their marvellous involvement and felt proud to contribute their task in preserving our Mother Earth. Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal planted various saplings and inspired the students to seed more and more plants. As this year the theme of the Earth Day was ‘Invest in Our Planet, Protect your future’, the Principal urged the students to save trees, protect them, plant umpteen plants and trees and to safeguard our flora, fauna and animals. She also said that taking active steps to preserve nature is the only way to save our mother Earth. Students promised to plant various trees at their homes and provided clean drinking water to quench the thirst of birds in sweltering summers and vowed to continue these practices on a daily basis. Towards the end Director of the School Mr. Bharat Parashar urged the students to not only thrive to maintain the beauty, health and piousness of Earth, but also to aware the society regarding the same objective.
