NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

To Commemorate Hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand, Aurobindo International School celebrated the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand which is celebrated as National Sports Day across India. Various Sports events were organised under the guidance of Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal. All the classes from Play Group to 12th participated with full zest and zeal. Sports like volleyball, basket ball, hockey, kho-kho were played but ‘Tug of War’ was the center of attraction. Apart from the events, children were also introduced with the life of the Hockey wizard’. PTI’s Mr. Ram Singh Shekhawat, Vijay Singh Shekhawat intimated the students with the sacrifices and contribution of Major Dhyan Chand. He talked about the glorious era of Indian hockey under Major Dhyanchand. In the end Director Sir Dr. Bharat Prashar and Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal shared the importance of fitness and further enlightened the students about the value of sports and sportsmanship.
