Labour Day & Handwriting Competition

May 1st is celebrated as International Labour Day. This day marks the celebrations of the working class and the labourers to put an end to their exploitation and unfair treatment. Thus, Aurobindo International School Sirsi Road , Jaipur also celebrated this day. The tiny tots of Pre Primary celebrated the Labour Day by conducting Fancy Dress Competition, where they showcased their tremendous talent by presenting themselves as ‘Our Helpers’. The tiny tots were attractively dressed up as various professionals like doctors, engineers, policemen, astronauts, plumbers, gardeners etc. They were involved in making 'Thank You' flowers and badges. The teachers briefed the children about Labour Day and its importance. The children expressed gratitude by giving self made badges and flowers to maids in the school and also to different people like helper in the bus, peon, guard etc. The young ones were overwhelmed by this act of thankfulness and enjoyed the day. The primary wing also organised ‘Handwriting Competition’ for the students of grade I to V wherein students participated enthusiastically. The objective of this competition was to encourage students to improve their calligraphy skills and also to inculcate sense of respect towards the helpers of the society. The response of the students was very encouraging. The Director of the School Mr.Bharat Parashar and Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal stated that we must teach our children to have gratitude in heart for those who serve them and this day reminds us to be kind and respectful towards all those who help us on daily basis.
