INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION

It is a time of great excitement and thrill whenever our talented students at Aurobindo International School are invited to participate in any inter-school competition, moreso, when it spans cultural presentations. August 11th was one such day. The venue was Rukmani Birla Modern High School in Jaipur and the competition was stiff. Students from more than 50 leading schools participated. Yet again, our students under the extraordinary vision and policies of our Director Dr. Bharat Prashar and constant meticulous efforts put in by our Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal came back after winning laurels from the organizers and the audience. It must be added that much focused training by our music teacher Ms Deepa Grewal boosted the confidence of our participants. The contest was none other than that within the Qawwali genre, one of the toughest formats within the vocal music genre.
AIS team won the 2nd place and it was very satisfying to achieve it, given the tough competition and short time duration available to prepare and practice. The winners were presented with certificates. Under the holistic development goals which are never left out of sight at AIS, music has always held a high priority. Our students love it as do others. It provides heightened inspiration to all our students to excel in the cultural world.
