Basketball Competition at Jayshree Periwal World School

 

“One Gold & 2 Bronze medals” It’s an encouraging tally of medals won, and climbing further at each event. Time and again, our students of Aurobindo International School and sports enthusiasts have shown that they are unstoppable. Basketball is gaining in popularity the world over and India is no exception. Excelling in basketball can really take our winners to high positions at the right time.

We at Aurobindo count very much on our Director Dr. Bharat Prashar for laying a strong foundation and maintaining constant emphasis on developing leadership through sports. Our dynamic Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal is always at the forefront to guide and motivate our students. And our sports coach Mr. Ram Singh Shekhawat who is himself a national coach puts in meticulous work to train our students to steal the show whenever they get a chance to compete.

August 9 & 10 presented such opportunity to our players. Jayshree Periwal Global School at Jagatpura was the venue for the recent Inter-school Basketball competitions. Our players bagged the maximum number of medals at the event in the following categories.

Under 14 categories for Boys (classes VII – VIII) Gold Medal

Under 14 categories for Girls (classes VII – VIII) Bronze Medal

Under 19 categories for Girls (classes IX & X) Bronze Medal

It was a time of great excitement and joy for our talented students at AIS as our Basketball teams won 3 medals. It is satisfying to say the least to achieve such laurels, given the tough competition these days.
