Aurobindo International School Hosts CBSE Workshop on Strengthening Assessment Practices

Aurobindo International School organised a two-day workshop titled "Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices" for teachers on March 5th and 6th, 2024. The workshop aimed to equip teachers with the latest methods to assess and evaluate student learning effectively.
Ms. Urvashi Warman and Mr. Deepak Agarwal served as the resource persons for this CBSE workshop. They shared their expertise and guided teachers on various assessment techniques that go beyond traditional exams. The sessions focused on various aspects of effective assessment, including using a mix of question formats, creating clear grading rubrics, and incorporating methods that go beyond traditional exams. This allows for a more holistic evaluation of student progress, encompassing not just knowledge but also skills and critical thinking abilities.
The workshop concluded on 6th March, 2024 with a closing address by the Principal of Aurobindo International School, Ms Karuna Nagpal. She expressed her gratitude to Ms. Urvashi Warman and Mr. Deepak Agarwal for their valuable insights. She emphasised the importance of such workshops in helping teachers create a more holistic learning environment for students.
