Aurobindo International School Hosts French Cultural Exchange Programme
Aurobindo International School is sparked to organize a French Cultural Exchange Programme from the 13th April to 17th April 2024.The guest children and the teachers were warmly welcomed by the school students. The trip was organized between Aurobindo International School, Jaipur and Sacré-Cœur La Salle, Angers, France. This esteemed program deepened the bonds between India and France while showcasing the vibrancy and dynamism of both nations' cultural heritage. Students from France visited the school and had a glimpse of the classrooms. They also interacted with the students as well as the teachers. They were happy to communicate with the children in their native language.
A special programme was organised in the auditorium on 15th April students of class IX to XII attended the programme and applauded for the participants. The programme began with lightening the lamp by the school Honourable Director Dr. Bharat Prashar, Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal and Vice Principal Mrs. Ritu Sharma. Students presented a Rajasthani folk song wearing traditional Rajasthani attire. Thereafter a quiz round had been conducted for the children. A Desert folk dance was presented to celebrate the culture of Rajasthan. Last but not the least an energetic Punjabi Bhangra was performed by the school students and as well as the guest students to celebrate the harvest festival of Baisakhi. Finally, a ramp walk was showcased by the French students and teachers. The school teachers helped the French faculties to drape a saree in two minute both the female faculties enjoyed the moment and were captivated.
During the school hours the guest students and the teachers visited the STEAM LAB and met the school Honourable Director Dr.Bharat Prashar and the Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal. They had refreshment and thereafter went for site seeing. They saw the magnificent forts, the old city bazaars and the pride of Jaipur ‘The Hawa Mahal’.
On the 16th of April various sports activities such as basket ball, kho-kho etc were organised for the guest children.They also went to the Fine Arts Lab and made Ganpati ji using mud and clay. They also enjoyed tie and Die painting. Lastly, they enjoyed mehandi making which is the most salient tradition of India.Finally, a farewell ceremony was organised for the guest students where they presented a dance for the school children.They were mesmerized by the safa(traditional Rajasthani turban) received as a gift by the school.The guest students also got prizes and certificates from the school. They were delighted and they also invited the school children in their country for the next cultural exchange programme. The event concluded with the heartwarming speech of the Honourable Director Dr. Bharat Prashar and the Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal.
On 17th April they were greeted by the school authorities and management and dropped at the airport. These kind of programme create a bond of brotherhood and alliance between two variant communities. These are also helpful in fabricating harmony in the students.
